How does it work?

Mirfield Miniatures aims to provide miniatures and hobby tools/equipment at affordable prices, and has done so for around six years.

I buy and sell new & used Warhammer models: but on my terms, and as fairly as possible for all of you out there looking in.

The shop is open Wednesday & Thursday 10am to 5pm; Friday 10am to 8pm; Saturday 12pm to 5pm

Mondays & Tuesdays are used for online selling and parcelling/shipping

To trade models in, you MUST have a trade booking. I will not accept trade without a prior booking slot being made.

SATURDAY is the key re-stock and sales day of the week. Midweek is quieter, but the selection will be smaller as we drive towards another sales day.

Please note: I cannot fulfil your wish-lists. Just follow the shop, and eventually you should find what you’re looking for.

MUST READS  – these are shop fundamentals:

RUN BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY

We want to ensure that the models that pass through our shop find a nice new home amongst keen hobbyists, without any profiteering/upselling involved.

NO SCALPING/RE-SELLING

If we think that’s what you are here for, we will not sell models to you. Buy in moderation, consider your fellow hobbyists, and don’t buy to re-sell (acknowledging that no-one expects you to keep your models forever!)

BOOK IN YOUR TRADE

Please don’t just turn up with a box of models. Book your trade in, and allow me to anticipate and prepare for the potential mountain of models that you might bring me!

WORK WITH OUR COMMUNITY – OR GO ELSEWHERE

Sounds a bit off? Just a note, as there has been some negativity from the comments section – if you think this isn’t working right, or you don’t like my voice here, you do not have to shop here. I’m certainly not above criticism (I am often my own worst critic), but this ‘rule’ gives me the option to remove people who are taking the fun out of the routine, or knocking the wind out of my sails. FB Marketplace, forums and eBay are all viable selling options if my place isn’t to your taste.

UNDERSTAND THE ROUTINE

and try not to work outside it. I work to a pretty tight schedule, Mondays for Facebook selling, Tuesdays to pack and post parcels, Wednesday to Friday running and re-stocking an open shop preparing for the Saturday rush. For example: requests for lists of models falls outside this routine, and threaten to jeopardise it. If all my customers gave me their wants list, the shop would come grinding to a halt!

All of the above points are elaborated on further on the FAQs page of this website.
